The NSW Minister for Climate Change, Frank Sator, has proposed to ban the use of solariums for those under 30 years of age after the International Agency for Research declared tanning beds to be a grade one carcinogenic (that’s the same as smoking folks!) debunking the myth that solariums delivered a tan without damaging UV rays.

Tanning BedOf course banning solariums is not going to stop Aussie's wanting a tan. When I ask our customers what it means to feel beautiful somewhere along the line a tan is mentioned. It seems Australian women want to live a vital active life and in Australia that means enjoying the great outdoors. A tan comes with the territory.

That is why here at POD a fake tan has been part of our offer from the start and we like to think we are part of the smart tanning revolution and that there are simply smarter ways of getting a tan at any age these days.

POD SPF 15 Liquid tan includes a vegetable derived tanning active - which is part of the next generation of actives that deliver bikini worthy, streak free, golden tans without toxic chemicals - making the POD fake tan suitable for more skin types. What’s more contrary to popular believe fake tans DO NOT provide sun protection - which is why POD's fake tan included broadspectrum UVA and UVB SPF15 protection. Perfect for Aussie climate Mr Sartor!

Either way no tan is worth dying for and here at POD we believe that being beautiful means products that not only fit with a vital life but protect your beauty in any environment. Cool
